PFINGST MASTERS in English | Day 2

The second day of the PFINGST MASTERS 2014 was also almost perfect. A total of 8000 visitors watched the “Champions League of the new generation of top players”. The two-day unique tournament from FC Lucerne, is carried out in each of the four categories U10 to U13, is one of the best in Europe - the number of participants with teams like Bayern Munich, AC Milan, Liverpool FC, Red Bull Salzburg and many other national and international teams is unparalleled in Europe.

Category U13

In the oldest group no one could beat the physically stark AC Milan team. Only FC Lucerne beat the Italians in the starting match on Saturday. After the two tournament victories from Inter Milan in the last two years, the cup goes again this year to Lombardy. The representatives of the 5 times Champions League winners were thrilled with the tournament and the organization simply thrilled and will return to Lucerne for the 11th edition next year to defend their deserved title.

Category U12

In the category U12, the FC Basel 1893 team turned out to be the measure of all things, despite the strong and outstanding participants such as Bayern Munich, Liverpool FC, Red Bull Salzburg and SC Freiburg, SK Rapid Wien, or Eintracht Frankfurt. The U12 FCB prevailed in the final against the favorites Red Bull Salzburg and won 4-1.

Category U11

After the victory of the FC Luzern U10s on Saturday the U11s, managed by Dominik Eberle and Michael Vollenwyder U11 took the second tournament win for FC Lucerne in the anniversary edition of the PFINGST MASTERS. The Lucerne's team was not beaten by any of the opponents in their category and defeated the FC Lugano in the final with a well-earned 3-0.

An altogether positive conclusion

"Our expectations were exceeded," concluded a very satisfied Vassily Tsakmaklis of the two eventful days at Allmend Sud. The high temperatures of over 30°C meant that there were no new records for attendance figures. Especially happy was the organization's president in that the PFINGST MASTERS was spared serious injury or accidents. "We can definitely be more than happy and look back on a very successful anniversary edition."

Also the FC Lucerne president Ruedi Stäger was very enthusiastic about the tournament: "The PFINGST MASTERS is a business card for FC Lucerne and its youth development program that is appreciatively noted throughout Europe and rewarded with the participation of the absolute top teams“

The FC Lucerne and the Organisation Committee of the PFINGST MASTERS thank the more than 500 helpers, the main sponsor OTTO'S, the equipment supplier Adidas, the premium partners Truvag, Proderma and the health insurance Lucerne Hinterland, and all other sponsors, donors, match ball donors and the city Lucerne for the excellent cooperation.

The 11th edition of the PFINGST MASTERS takes place on the 23rd and 24th of May, 2015 on Saturday and Sunday

PFINGST MASTERS in English | Day 1

3,500 visitors enjoyed a day of inspiring football, brilliant weather and high temperatures for the first day of the PFINGST MASTERS held for the 10th time in Lucerne. The U10 from FC Lucerne mad the high point of the day by winning a gripping final against FC Basle 1893.

“We are more than contented with the first day”, commented a happy Vassily Tsakmaklis (president of the organisation’s committee) when asked about the course of the day of this large event, and that none of the players from the 56 participating teams was injured.

“The Champions League of the new generation of top players” started with drum beats. The FC Lucerne U13 team beat a physically strong AC Milan team in the opening game with a narrow 1:0 result. The tournament boss – Peter Hauser commented “It was obviously a joy for the spectators to watch such high level games” when asked about the games.

Lucerne’s city president Stefan Roth also gave an enthusiastic speech at the opening of the PFINGST MASTERS. “We are proud that Lucerne is allowed to host this unique tournament, and I am convinced that the name of Lucerne is positively presented by the participating players and visitors”

horror....was ich nie verstehen werde: wieso wird man immer so cheibe nervös, wenn die lz oder der blick mal paar giftpfeile abfeuern.
hat man angst einige wutbürger aka tätschhässige leserkommentar-schreiber als mögliche besucher zu verscheuchen?
